Dugmore, A.R. The Wonderland of Big Game

1925. First Edition (Arrowsmith, London). Very good. Excellent photos of early 20th century Africa and plates of Dugmore's artwork. Great photography and artwork. Dugmore was an accomplished artist and, along with Martin Johnson and Carl Akeley, was noted for photographing live African game. His "portable" camera was huge and weighed about ten pounds. He was accompanied by James Clark, noted taxidermist and protege of Akeley, as his hunter back-up, just in case.
